We formally train in the Seven Star Praying Mantis form of Kung Fu created by Sifu (Master) Wang Lang in the 16th century. The style builds on the fighting skills Wang Lang learned as a Shaolin monk, incorporating the fierce, lightening-fast predatory style of the praying mantis and the extremely efficient footwork of monkeys – both of which he observed while training.
Not everyone is looking for formal martial arts training. That's why our fitness classes are based in the martial arts with a focus on building strength, stamina and confidence for a full body and spirit workout. We currently offer Core and Kickboxing fitness classes.
The gentle, rhythmic movements of Qigong (pronounced chee-gung) reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and enhance the immune system. The perfect complement to physical exercise like kickboxing or kung fu, Qigong works your internal systems, improving cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions helping create balance and wellness from within.
